Observatory for Connectivity in the Americas

From the newsletter of the Institute for Connectivity in the Americas: "ICA is pleased to announce the launch of the Observatory for Connectivity in the Americas (OSILA – Observatorio para la Sociedad de la Informacion en Latinoamerica) initiative... [The] 'think tank' component of OSILA will work to form a network of professionals, academics, and consultants on ICTs for development and produce statistical and analytical reports, courses, workshops, seminars and a variety of other products and services based on the ICT data produced by the Regional Observatory... A map linked to a database of currently available ICT indicators in the region is available at http://www.ICAmericas.net. It was created as part of the OSILA initiative to better understand the digital divide in [Latin American countries], help prioritize development assistance efforts, and provide a self assessment tool/benchmark..."
